David Brake & That Damn Band are a band based in Houston Texas who combine rock, country and blues Americana - but rather than combining these influen-
ces to make one sound each song defines it's own genre.
David Brake & That Damn Band have been described as a rock
band with a fiddle, and the music as Freeform Americana or "Texas y'alternative."
You can hear influences of Steve Earle, Wilco, Bruce Springsteen, Jack Ingram, Bruce Hornsby, Robert Earl Keen, Elton John, and The Beatles, among others.
What sets David Brake & That Damn Band apart is that each song takes you to a different place than the one before it. It doesn't matter whether it's piano, acoustic guitar, solo, or with the whole band--the songs all have
